Nick, who is jokingly called the CFIO (Chief-Figure-it-out Officer), specializes in guiding people through Overland's financial planning process and runs all the investment trading platforms. He first began at the Lincoln office as an intern in the Fall of 2018 and joined us full time after completing his degree. Soon after, he received his Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor Designation in 2022.
For his higher education, Nick attended the Nebraska Business Honors Academy at the University of Nebraska--an accelerated cohort-based program that accepts about 45 students across all business disciples.
Nick got married in the Summer of 2019 to his wife, Morgan. Together they have a crazy, but adorable Bernie Doodle named Brewer, an even more crazy and adorable toddler, and are expecting their second child. One of Nick's dreams is to provide his kids with the hometown experience here in Lincoln that he never got, since his family moved all over the Midwest while he was growing up.
Outside of work, Nick's hobbies include keeping up with his German, cracking dad jokes and playing golf. He loves to learn how things work, so instead of making New year's resolutions, Nick dedicates each year to learning a new skill. Some of these have included building a foundry in the driveway, delving into economic history, and teaching himself chess (poorly).
