Jeremy Kester, CFP®
Wealth Manager, Senior Investment Executive
Jeremy, our Wealth Manager and Senior Investment Executive, works primarily from the Lincoln office. Jeremy directs everything at the top of the practice for all of Overland Wealth. He believes the best part of what he does is being able to build great, long-lasting relationships and help people pursue their dreams.
He began his higher education at Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Missouri in 1997-1998, where he played collegiate soccer, helping his team earn a berth to the national finals that year. Following a significant injury, he returned to Lincoln, completing his degree at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, graduating in May of 2002 with a BSBA in Finance and Marketing.
Immediately following graduation, Jeremy joined Waddell & Reed as a Financial Advisor, and held a leadership role from 2006-2009. He formed the team that would become Overland Wealth at the beginning of 2018 and transitioned out work with LPL Financial in July of 2021. Jeremy received his Certified Financial Planner designation in 2013.
Jeremy and his wife, Brenda, have been married since 2000, ensuring they could always remember how long they'd been together! They have 4 crazy, amazing children, Linus, Sally, Violet and Molly and always have more running around their house. The kids like to keep them on their toes, with each having a unique personality and interests on their own. To add to the chaos of 4 children at home, they also have 3 dogs, including his French Bulldog Patty, who can often be found at the office...typically napping in the sun!
Sticking to his roots, Jeremy has stayed in his hometown of Lincoln, NE to build his practice and raise his family. Traveling, church, music and family are all important aspects of his life that you can always hear him passionately tell stories and crack a few jokes about. In the community, he attends Cross the Line Church where he volunteers as a Sound Engineer, but it is not uncommon to see him on stage with a guitar playing with the worship team as well.
