Ben, the Wealth Manager located at the Bridgeport office, helps people navigate the chaos of life by providing information that allows for them to make the best financial decisions unique to their own situations.

For his higher education, Ben attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and got a bachelor's in Business Administration. For the next 10 years, he worked in the restaurant industry, with 6 of those years being a successful owner and operator of Outlaw Steakhouse & Saloon in Garland, NE. During this time, he also earned his master's degree in Sports Administration from the University of Northern Colorado.

After many conversations with a family friend that had been a Waddell & Reed advisor for over 20 years, Ben decided to join as a Financial Advisor in 2012. His first day at the job ended up getting delayed though due to the birth of his first son, who decided to join the world on the same day. Ben likes to joke that at least it's easy  to remember how long he's been an advisor.

Ben is married to his wonderful wife, Amber, and they have a full boy home with their two sons, Owen and Miles. In 2014, his family and their two dogs packed up and headed west, so he could establish an office in his hometown of Bridgeport and return to his roots. As he discovered the importance of comprehensive financial planning and the lack of planning among the general population, he decided to return home to help those in the area be more confident about their futures and pursue their goals. It's important to him to help support and service the community that taught him so much growing up.

Outside of work, Ben enjoys traveling, attending sporting events and concerts and sneaking in a round of golf here and there with friends. Some of his most memorable trips have been to Maine, Hawaii, Alaska, Ryder Cups and his family's annual trips to Jackson Hole. Overall, his greatest joy in life is navigating life with Amber and his kids. In the future, Ben wants to continue to enjoy watching, helping, and coaching his sons as they grow up and develop their own identities and interests.
